01 · What we collect
Only what the site needs to operate.
When you join the email list or record interest in Core membership, we collect your email address, the consent or interest choices you submit, and the timestamps needed to honor those choices. Confirmation and unsubscribe links use expiring, single-use tokens.
Site requests may also produce limited technical and security information, such as request timestamps, route information, and abuse-prevention signals. When enabled, the site may send aggregate reader events such as content impressions, views, engaged reads, completion, depth, receipt or source opens, related-content opens, and subscription-flow opens. These are grouped into daily counters by publication identity, surface, source class, and viewport class. We do not store raw event rows, reader or session identifiers, IP addresses, cookies, referrer URLs, query strings, article bodies, or free text in this analytics table.
Optional performance, content, and theme-usage reports are suppressed when your browser exposes a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. Aggregate reader and performance metrics are retained for 13 months and then removed by the site's cleanup path. Provider-level technical or security logs remain subject to the applicable provider controls.
02 · Why we use it
Delivery, security, and a better reader experience.
We use this information to operate the public record, confirm and deliver requested email, honor unsubscribe requests, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and understand basic site performance. We do not use the email signup form to request a brokerage account, trade on your behalf, or tailor research to your portfolio.
03 · Service providers
Limited providers support the site.
The site is hosted and operated with Cloudflare services, including the web runtime and, when enabled, Web Analytics and the Desk publication archive. Resend is used for confirmation or delivery only when the corresponding newsletter gates and provider checks are enabled. Providers receive only the information needed for their configured service.
04 · Your choices
You can leave the list at any time.
You can choose not to submit an email address, and every confirmed Desk email includes a secure one-click unsubscribe link. The site does not expose an email-address-only unsubscribe mutation. The retention periods for pending, unsubscribed, and deleted subscriber records, together with the public access and deletion request route, remain go-live gates and will be published before regular intake is enabled.
05 · Changes
This page changes with the system.
When the site begins a new data practice, changes a provider, or finalizes retention and rights procedures, this page will be updated with the effective date and the relevant details. This operational notice is not a promise that a feature or provider will remain available forever.
